Individual Therapy

I provide one-on-one counseling for adults and teens at my office located in Charleston, SC, as well as online virtual sessions to clients throughout South Carolina and Virginia.

Together, we begin where you feel comfortable; sometimes uncovering how a past experience or deep seated personal beliefs can contribute towards or even create feelings of anxiety, hopelessness, guilt, or loneliness. I’ll help you better understand the story you tell yourself about your life, making sure that it’s accurate. If you’re being too hard on yourself, we rewrite your narrative so that you can move forward creating the life you want to live.

Anxiety and Depression

I help teens and adults who struggle with anxiety and depression. Whether it be worrying about social situations, expecting the worst to happen, or striving for perfect. These potentially overwhelming feelings can manifest themselves in different ways.

From negative self-talk and excessive guilt, to life dissatisfaction and thoughts of self-harm, I utilize evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to root out the causes of these symptoms and firmly establish you on your road to reclaim your life

Grief

If you or your adolescent has experienced the loss of a person, pet, or other separation, Grief Therapy helps process these losses, make sense of what happened, and let go of any guilt or regret that can complicate the grieving process.

Teens have the tendency to blame themselves, or not express fully their feelings out of concern for others. Past losses can resurface thoughout our lives, and need to be re-grieved years later as we mature and understand our life from a deeper intellectual and emotional level

Relationships

Using an attachment-focus, I help individuals who struggle in their relationships due to insecurity or unhelpful patterns of behavior.

I also provide Parent Coaching for parents of children and teens to help them better connect with their children and address unwanted behaviors in a way that protects your relationship with your child and their self-esteem. Working together, you both can better control yourselves during those difficult moments.
